Canadian authorities have announced that travellers over the age of 12 years and 4 months, departing from Canadian airports on domestic or international flights, on ships or by rail, must be fully vaccinated to board. Until August 31, 2022, foreign nationals who are not fully vaccinated and who reside outside Canada may board flights departing Canada, provided that they show proof of a valid negative molecular Covid-19 test. Exceptions to the full vaccination requirement will be extremely limited (exemption for health reasons). ENTRY INTO ITALY<\/a><\/strong><\/p>

By Order of the Italian Ministry of Health issued on February 22, 2022, an EU Covid digital certification or the equivalent is still required for entry into Italy until May 31, 2022. For information on entering \/ returning to Italy, please click here<\/a>. Please note that final destination countries may continue to adopt restrictive measures for arrivals from abroad.<\/p>

To enter Italy, starting from March 1st<\/sup>, 2022 travellers arriving from Canada will be required alternatively a Certificate of Covid vaccination or recovery or of an equivalent certificate issued by local health authorities, or proof of a negative molecular test taken 72 hours prior to arrival or proof of a negative antigen test taken 24 hours before<\/strong>. As of May 1, the digital Passenger Locator Form<\/a> is no longer required. It is still possible to enter Italy without the aforesaid certificates, those travellers must also agree to self-isolation and health monitoring (by informing the appropriate ASL \u2013 local health unit \u2013 to begin the monitoring process) for a period of five (5) days and to take another molecular or antigen test at the end of the five (5) days of isolation.<\/p>

For entry into Italy, travellers must present the following certification to the carrier upon boarding and subsequently to the competent Italian border authorities (certification must contain the following information):<\/p>

  1. Certificate of anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, confirming completion of the vaccination cycle with one of the vaccines recognized by the EMA (European Medicines Agency) at least 14 days prior. Vaccines currently recognized are Comirnaty (Pfizer BioNTech), Spikevax (Moderna), Vaxzevria\/Covishield\/R-CoVI\/Covid-19 vaccine-recombinant Fiocruz (AstraZeneca) and<\/li>
  2. Certificate of recovery from COVID-19 (confirmed through certification by a medical professional, in paper and\/or digital format and accompanied by a certified translation.)<\/li><\/ol>
