Toronto Star<\/a> \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Everything about Milan conjures glitz and glamour, history and style: the intricate Renaissance spires of the Duomo<\/a>, the soaring glass-and-iron roofs of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and the luxury fashion boutiques seemingly on every corner. Italy<\/a>\u2019s second city is a place to see and be seen. But tonight, for my first dinner in town, I\u2019m briefly unsure where I am, exactly. I\u2019m staying at the Radisson Collection Palazzo Touring Club<\/a>, a new hotel that has converted the former offices of Italy\u2019s classy answer to the CAA. In this historic building, in the heart of town, I\u2019ve wandered into what\u2019s supposed to be a small bistro. Or is it?<\/p>

I\u2019m surrounded by travel merchandise, like guides and globes and maps and puzzles. In addition to being a functioning bookstore, the space is also a travel agency. Then, without demarcation, there\u2019s a tight configuration of tables around a small bar. The bistro, I presume. Soon, I\u2019m seated and digging into a veal Milanese, the city\u2019s signature dish, served here the traditional way: on the bone.<\/p>
