On Tuesday, April 8, La Spada in Montreal’s St-Henri neighbourhood hosted Aperitivo, an event by Nonna Life in collaboration with DelFrescoPure. Guests enjoyed complimentary light snacks and signature cocktails, and small batch gelato with flavours like Ricotta Tomato and Cucumber Lemon from Frozen Fusion Artisan Desserts. The event was a culmination of everything Italian\u2013good food created from fresh, local ingredients, good company, all in a charming space with eclectic hints of nonna’s house.<\/p>

Nonna Life<\/a>, created by Ariane Laezza (originally from Montreal but grew up Mississauga and is currently living in Toronto) began the lifestyle brand as an “homage to the strength, style and simple approach to life of everyone\u2019s favourite grandmother: Nonna. Rooted in Southern Italian culture, Nonna Life offers a fresh, modern perspective on a traditional way of life; one that is defined by craftsmanship, community and culture.” <\/em><\/p>

DelFrescoPure<\/a>, a hydroponic greenhouse company in Kingsville, Ontario has been family-owned for nearly 60 years. “Fidela (the Matricarch) would gather her family and make memories around the kitchen table by preparing simple, easy and fun meals. To honour her memory, DelFrescoPure\u00ae features her recipes and is inspired by her family values.”<\/em><\/p>
