Event Details

The partners of Lisez l’Europe, including the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal, with the collaboration of the Language Center and the Department of Literatures and World Languages of the University of Montreal, invite you to celebrate the 8th edition of the European Day of Languages in Montreal.

On Friday, October 23rd, join a “5 à 7” with free virtual mini-lessons (via Zoom) in German, Catalan, Spanish, Greek, Japanese, Kurdish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Swedish. Most of the mini-courses are aimed at people who have no knowledge of the language taught, others are aimed at people who already have the basics and allow you to work on a particular aspect of the language in a fun way.

Registration is required and places are limited. Participants will receive an email with the link to participate in the Zoom session with which we will present the 15 mini-courses (5 each 30-minute session).

With around 225 indigenous languages in Europe and 6,000 to 7,000 languages spoken around the world, the Day reminds us of the many benefits of language learning, which in particular allows us to continue developing cognitive skills, breaking down barriers and leading the way to new friendships and professional opportunities.
