Gianni Bodo followed by Lili-Ann De Francesco Sunday August 9th, starting 8:00 PM
Montreal born singer-songwriter Gianni Bodo has been writing, recording and performing music for over 2 decades. Hurricanes and Butterflies, the artist’s last single, entirely written and recorded in confinement as the global health crises heated up, has been piling up rave reviews and radioplay around the world. Gianni is currently recording his english opus and he will also be releasing an Italian EP in time for Italian week 2020 featuring the upcoming single Rimani nel Ombra.
Daughter of a musician, Lili-Ann De Francesco was only seven when she fell in love with the music scene. After a remarkable audition in the TV show La Voix, the youngest competitor in the history of the show continues on to the semi-finals. With a pop “ vibe ” with EDM influences, Lili-Ann becomes herself a singer-songwriter and gets involved in the writing of all the pieces of her EP. Launched on September 30, 2019, her EP has accumulated more than a million streamings on digital platforms.
In its new virtual format, the festival offers you all these events for free, there’s no need to register or purchase tickets. All performances were recorded live from the festival studio and will be broadcasted through the festival website www.italfestmtl.ca as well as on our Youtube channel (Semaine italienne de Montréal _ italfestMTL). The links to each event will be available a few days before via our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, but the broadcast will only be accessible at the exact time of the show.
