MONTREAL’S ITALIAN WEEK IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE FESTIVAL’S ARTISTS

For its 27th edition, Montreal’s Italian Week Festival is pleased to reveal the participation of many artists of Italian origin who will make this edition a memorable one! Whether they are emerging artists or very well known, they will know how to have a great time with all our festival-goers and entertain them in the comfort of their homes.

THE MAIN CONCERTS PRESENTED BY RUFFINO

Kalàscima and Marco Calliari
Friday August 14th, starting 8:00 PM

Explosive, energetic and captivating, Kalàscima reinvents traditional music by adding to the original and folk melodies a colorful blend of electronics and transcendent rhythm. Their latest album K (2018) takes an unusual approach with a mixture of dialects and English accompanied by several traditional instruments, percussion, modern instruments and songs.

Marco Calliari was born in Quebec but has always remained very attached to his Italian roots. He knows how to win people’s hearts with his interpretation of original songs like great Italian and Quebec classics. His latest album, Calliari Bang ! Bang !, who celebrated his thirtieth career anniversary, was released in 2019.

In its new virtual format, the festival offers you all these events for free, there’s no need to register or purchase tickets. All performances were recorded live from the festival studio and will be broadcasted through the festival website www.italfestmtl.ca as well as on our Youtube channel (Semaine italienne de Montréal _ italfestMTL). The links to each event will be available a few days before via our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, but the broadcast will only be accessible at the exact time of the show.
