Presented by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in collaboration with Villa Charities
Juno and Canadian Folk Music Award winner, Dominic Mancuso will be presenting a multi-lingual repertoire taken from his last two cds; the Juno awarded ‘World Music Album of the Year’ – Comfortably Mine and his internationally acclaimed Sub Urban Gypsy. His brand of world fusion incorporates elements of World/Jazz with Roots/Folk, underscored by an infectious on-stage energy and zeal for storytelling.

ROSENDO CHENDY LEON (Cuban-Canadian) | percussion & voice
Rosendo “Chendy” Leon is from Cuba, and is now one of Canada’s most sought after percussionists. Chendy brings a love for all cultures, with a profound innate rhythmic facilitation. At 18, his professional career started, playing and recording with many famous Cuban artists. Today, he plays with an array of nationally renowned Canadians such as Jesse Cooke, Sultans of String and Amanda Martinez.
TONY ZORZI (Italo-Canadian) | guitarist, mandolin & banjitar
Tony Zorzi has made critical contributions to Dominic’s acclaimed JUNO winning “Comfortably Mine” CD and, since then, has been a staple contributor to the Dominic Mancuso Group. He has performed in Mamma Mia, The Who’s Tommy, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Crazy for You.
DOMINIC MANCUSO (Sicilian-Canadian) | voice & guitar
Dominic Mancuso is an acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer, defining a rich hybrid vibe, fusing the multicultural flavours of his hometown with the savoury sounds of his Sicilian heritage. A Juno and Canadian Folk Music Award winner, Dominic’s brand of world fusion is underscored by an “…infectious on-stage energy, zeal for storytelling and a voice that is nothing less than lusty, emotive and freighted with passionate sincerity.” – Graham Pilsworth, Atlantic Jazz Festival.
