On February 1, the second single from Molotov Mon Amour will be digitally launched, with the song “Si c’était toi”, an electrifying track that addresses mental illness. After the release of the first single, “J’T’Haïme“, on February 19, 2021, the second single addresses mental illness. Si c’était toi will be released on all digital platforms on February 1, 2022, under the label of Productions Casa Nostra and distributed by Hell for Breakfast (Believe). For Molotov Mon Amour’s second single, the artist wanted to address mental illness, a taboo subject that affects nearly 20% of the Quebec population, or one in five people. Along with the precarious situation caused by the pandemic, human fragility, where the breaking point with one’ s mind sometimes leads to violent actions towards oneself or towards others, or to complete isolation from society, has been going on for a long time and doesn’t discriminate against anyone.

A POWERFUL VIDEO

The single and a video will be launched at the same time. A powerful storyline of a camera tracking a social sample exacerbates a reflection of the taboos surrounding social profile. The camera follows various kinds of people and highlights them in a darkened room that reveals their emotional state. Among them are a professional, seniors, a mother and a child.

FAITHFUL CRAFTSMEN, A FAMILY HISTORY

The song is written by Molotov Mon amour, aka Marco Calliari, who writes and performs the text and music, accompanied by his classical guitar. It features Dany Lalonde on drums, electric guitar, keyboard, and electronic bass, as well as Pasquale Caruana on musical arrangement. His partner, Christyna Pelletier, oversees the art direction and the photography of the cover and Joe Saltarelli is in charge of the graphic design. The video is directed and filmed by Molotov Mon Amour, while the editing was carefully entrusted to Christyna Pelletier and Sabrina Côté-Poitras.
