From the ancient triple pipes of Sardinia to the frame drums and bagpipes of southern Italy, these instruments have evolved through pre-Christian rituals, medieval trade influences, and local customs, shaping the vibrant sounds of folk traditions such as the tarantella and today’s folk revival.
