Event Details
- Ride Day: Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Veneto Centre
o 6:30 AM Registration opens
o 7:00 AM Breakfast is served
o 8:00 AM The Grand Marshall will officially start the ride
- Test your endurance and skills on one of our three routes: o Gran Fondo – 100 kmo Media Fondo – 60 km o Corto Fondo – 25 km
- Breakfast at Veneto Centre and rest stops jam-packed with water and popular Italian snacks to keep riders going
- A finish line celebration at Veneto Centre, followed by a hot lunch with Italian favourites!
- Opportunity to fundraise and win great prizes
- Giro cycling gift for every rider that participates
- As a nod to the Giro d’Italia tradition, the Maglia Rosa (pink jersey) will be presented to the top Giro 2022 fundraiser
- A safe ride for everyone. Sweep cars and police are present throughout the ride to block off busy intersections and keep riders safe
Please note that Giro is a ride an NOT a race and will take place rain or shine. Only bicycles can participate in this event.
The 15th Villa Charities Giro cycling fundraiser will support the Villa Charities Scholarship Program.
The Villa Charities Scholarship Program provides financial support to Undergraduate and Graduate level students who believe in and help further Villa Charities’ mission to enrich lives through experiences and services that honour Italian culture and heritage.
