Food & Wine – Like many thousands of college students before me, I too studied abroad in Italy. Sometimes the most obvious choice is still the best one, and I am so glad I followed the well-trod road to Rome, the country’s capital and largest city. For all of its spectacularly overrun tourist quarters, Rome is simply much too big to be defined solely by the parade of visitors who have passed through it for millennia.
