The National Congress of Italian-Canadians is delighted to organize once more this year the art competition Il Piccolo Leonardo as part of the events that will be held in the 29th edition of ItalFestMTL. Young artists are invited to give free rein to their creativity in the realization of a drawing or a painting, taking inspiration from this year’s featured region: Abruzzo. Art thus becomes an excellent opportunity to introduce them to the richness and beauty of the Italian culture.
The competition is divided into three categories of participants: 4 to 6 years old, 7 to 9 years old, and 10 to 12 years old. A winner will be selected for each category and one overall winner will be chosen among all of the participants. The award ceremony will take place during ItalFestMTL’s press conference (date and location to be confirmed). Once the artwork is completed, it must be sent to the National Congress of Italo-Canadians at 8370 boul. Lacordaire, suite 302, Saint-Leonard, Qc, HJR 3Y6.
The deadline to submit an artwork is July 23, 2022.
Competition rules
The participants will have to submit their artwork with the following information written on the back: the title, the name and surname of the artist, their age, their telephone number, their civic address and their email address, the material used and the name of the school, organization or association through which the child obtained the competition details (if applicable).
